Fine Arts Scholarship
Dear Applicant:
The Italian American Community Center, Inc. (IACC) is located in the Town of Gates. Its mission is to preserve the Italian American heritage and culture in the Greater Rochester Area.
The IACC is sponsoring a $500.00 scholarship for the deserving senior art student who is planning to pursue studies in the fine arts field. To qualify, scholarship applicants must be of Italian American decent, demonstrate aptitude in the field of fine art, and must plan to attend a college/university majoring in this field.
Applicants must currently be attending school in the Rochester area (Monroe County, Wayne County and surrounding areas). Scholarships will be awarded primarily on the basis of their ability in the field of fine arts.
Interested candidates should submit the completed application to the scholarship committee at the address listed below.
All applicants will be notified of their status by April 24, 2010. The scholarship recipient will be recognized at the Italian American Community Center Art Revolving Arts Exhibit on Sunday, May 2, 2010.
Funds will be disbursed directly to the college or university the student will be attending as soon as official confirmation is received from that Institution that the scholarship recipient has been admitted, enrolled as a full time student and has commenced attendance.
